How Ledge compares with the tools you are weighing
Most finance teams close with no tool at all. The rest chose software that organizes, governs or automates the close. Ledge prepares it. Here is a plain read of each approach, and where each one fits best.

The close, by approach
These are not rankings. They are different jobs, and many teams use more than one.

How to choose

Where Ledge is not the answer

Ledge is not the right fit for every team. If you run an ERP we do not support yet, you need a SOX compliance module, or you want a standalone report builder, say so on the first call. We would rather tell you than waste your time.
Common questions
Not necessarily. Many teams keep their checklist or governance platform and add Ledge to prepare the work inside each task. Others find Ledge covers what they actually used. The right answer depends on what you rely on your current tool for.
Ledge is built on NetSuite, with a SuiteApp on SuiteApp.com, two-way sync and entries posted on approval. Several others also work with NetSuite at different depth. Compare them on one of your own tasks.
Ledge has no SOX compliance module, no published MCP server and no standalone report builder. It supports NetSuite, Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online, with a waiting list for other ERPs and no promised timeline.
Because the work inside each task is already done when your team opens it: data pulled, formulas built, exceptions flagged, entries drafted. Teams go from 5 hours of work to 5 minutes of review, and remove 55 to 90 percent of manual close effort, measured as the share of checklist tasks prepared.
