About the Role
We are seeking a tenacious, enthusiastic, and experienced Account Executive to help develop and grow a brand new project that we are bringing to market. As an early member of this business unit, you will play a pivotal role in laying the foundation and benchmarks of success for this new and exciting project. You will have a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact and influence over the sales process and organization. The ideal candidate will have strong eCommerce or payments experience working with merchants, a passion for driving revenue, and a proven track record of closing new business. As a leader on the sales team you will be on the front- lines of one of the fastest growing industries, with the mandate to grow this exciting start-up within a start-up. This role will report to the Chief Revenue Officer.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, sourcing pipeline, pitching and closing, while collaborating closely with cross functional teams including Account Management, Product, Marketing, and Legal.
- Develop and implement outbound strategies to build a sustainable pipeline process.
- Consistently meet sales quotas and drive the sales process forward for the business.
- Work closely with sales leadership to define and execute on monthly sales goals.
- Take initiative to solve problems as they arise within the sales process and lead through action.
- Lead building your vertical and contribute to building this new business from the ground up.
- Maintain an understanding of the competitive market space and how to effectively position our product offerings.
What You’ll Bring
- 5-7+ years selling SaaS solutions at high growth tech companies, ideally in an eCommerce/retail/payments environment.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and building healthy pipelines.
- Comfort working in a hyper-growth, rapidly changing environment while able to concurrently manage multiple accounts and quickly close deals.
- Ability and comfort in negotiating and closing legal agreements with prospects.
- Excellent executive level verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in defining processes and ability to make autonomous decisions.
- Ability to deliver accurate forecasts and visibility on sales and revenue performance by handling your pipeline of opportunities.
